‘read my lips’ mirror moments usually occur on an arduous morning after, but I digress.

My interest in anything *iTunes* related revolves around being able to converse with my kids about using their ipods. I‘ve been resistant myself, and (finally) just this week have purchased a Roland R-09HR. I recognize that this isn’t a gear forum so I won’t carry on, but in addition to its recording abilities, it makes one heck of an easy ipod alternative for me. Just loaded the SD card with some stuff to play at work tomorrow (via our apparatus) . This is going to be fun.

hey, good luck with the Edirol, i purchased one of those last August, and have loved it and used it often; also, like you, i used it for digital playback of my music, especially during my bike rides; then, in Jan. of this year, my brother got (for free), a 64 gig ipod touch which he said he has no use for, and gave it to me, and i've been loving it ever since, altho mostly for its ebook functionality, which i hadn't been able to do since my Sony Clie finally gave up the ghost a few years ago

regarding the Cutler app, i did purchase it last nite, and overall for the price, definitely worth it, mostly for being able to listen to Sam's reading, he really has a great reading voice; and just for anyone else thinking about purchasing said app, the vids that are 'included', are really just youtube links in the app, so in reality, they're not part of the purchase per se, but the photo journal is rather cool; also, the text of the novel moves automatically whether you have the audio of Sam on or off, which is a bit disappointing; however, just being able to hear Sam reading his book is so worth it

if you have any questions regarding the R-09HR, shoot me an email: [edit]

So far I am very pleased with the R-09. I have been researching this purchase for a long time, and finally went for it. Now working out what else I will need to connect to my other gear. The wish list gets longer! Thanks for offering assistance (got your address).
